The Northwest Christian Crusaders will take on the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
While Northwest Christian's victory against Kingman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Northwest Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 win over Kingman on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Crusaders have posted against the Bulldogs since March 28, 2017.

Kinsey Unger was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Ella Reuter was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Meanwhile, while Yuma Catholic put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Seton Catholic. Yuma Catholic put the hurt on Seton Catholic with a sharp 12-0 win. The matchup marked the Shamrocks' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Not much got past Cherish Trujillo, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Seton Catholic off the board. That's the fewest hits Trujillo has allowed since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Yuma Catholic got a massive performance out of Autumn Moffatt, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Alondra Cordova, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Northwest Christian's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.2 runs. As for Yuma Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Northwest Christian might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Yuma Catholic when the teams last played back in March of 2024.
