Baseball Recap: Ashley Ridge Comes Up Short

Ashley Ridge suffered their biggest loss since March 28th on Wednesday. They came up short against the James Island Trojans, falling 9-2. The Swamp Foxes haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Ashley Ridge saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alan Carden, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Hunter Hunt also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Ashley Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for James Island, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

While Ashley Ridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
