Softball Recap: Weed Takes a Loss

Weed lost to Trinity on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars came up short against the Wolves, falling 12-6. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riley Dawson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Maci Phillips, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Weed's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Trinity, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Weed and Trinity will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Cougars see the field they'll take on Mt. Shasta at 2:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Trinity, their break will end when they face Etna at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th.
