Preview: Bayside Marlins vs. Princess Anne Cavaliers
Bayside is 0-9 against Princess Anne since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bayside Marlins will be playing at home against the Princess Anne Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Bayside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Princess Anne is ranked 14th).
On Tuesday, Bayside was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-54 to Green Run. Bayside has not had much luck with Green Run recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Princess Anne entered their tilt with Kellam with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Princess Anne came out on top against Kellam by a score of 63-52 on Friday.
Bayside's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Princess Anne, their victory was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
Bayside was taken down by Princess Anne 76-39 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bayside was down 49-20.
