Football Recap: Gahr Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Gahr lost against Cerritos back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gladiators were beaten by the Dons 35-7.

Roman Acosta threw for 64 yards on seven of 12 attempts. Bryant Riley was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards. On the ground, Jaidyn Backus rushed for 55 yards.

Cerritos got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Bagaygay out in front who rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown. Another signal caller making a difference was Justin Sagun, who threw for 103 yards and one TD.

Gahr's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cerritos, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Gahr will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on September 11. As for Cerritos, they will face off against Portola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
