Baseball Recap: Titusville Takes a Loss

Titusville lost against Merritt Island back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Titusville came up short against Merritt Island, falling 15-6.

Nolan Edwards was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Titusville has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. Merritt Island has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Titusville will face off against Brevard HEAT at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Merritt Island, they will head out to face off against Melbourne Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games Melbourne Central Catholic has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
