Soccer Recap: Brother Rice Takes a Loss

After flying high against Curie on Monday, Brother Rice came back down to earth. The Crusaders lost 4-0 to the Loyola Academy Ramblers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Brother Rice can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Loyola Academy are ranked 40th).

Brother Rice's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-2. As for Loyola Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Brother Rice will square off against rival De La Salle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Loyola Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Laurence at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
