Football Recap: Norwin Piles Up the Points Against Kiski Area

There's no place like home for Norwin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-7 victory over the Kiski Area Cavaliers. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

Leading Norwin to victory were Giovanni Rothrauff and Tristyn Tavares. Rothrauff rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, while Tavares rushed for 47 yards and one score. What's more, Tavares racked up 136.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024.

The win got Norwin back to even at 1-1. As for Kiski Area, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwin will head out to face off against Greater Latrobe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kiski Area, they will venture away from home to square off against Hempfield Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
