Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Blue Devils vs. Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers

Two dominant guards in Dre Mcghee and Miller McGowan are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Manchester Blue Devils will host the Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Manchester knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Atlanta Classical Academy likes a good challenge.

Manchester will head into Wednesday's matchup having proved themselves against Bowdon: Manchester took a 37-point loss the last time they faced off against Bowdon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Manchester sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 win over Bowdon on Wednesday. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Red Devils are ranked 399th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Atlanta Classical Academy won against Bowdon last Wednesday with 72 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Atlanta Classical Academy walked away with a 72-60 victory over Greenville. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cavaliers.

Manchester's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Atlanta Classical Academy, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
