Soccer Game Preview: Clermont Northeastern vs. Williamsburg + How To Watch

The Clermont Northeastern Rockets are taking a road trip to square off against the Williamsburg Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clermont Northeastern will be strutting in after a win while Williamsburg will be coming in after a loss.

While Clermont Northeastern's victory against New Richmond wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rockets skirted past the Lions 3-2. Clermont Northeastern haven't had any issues with New Richmond recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Sammy Woolery and Peyton Geer scored all three of Clermont Northeastern's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Meanwhile, Williamsburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak last Monday. They lost 6-0 to Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Williamsburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 334th, while Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy are ranked 59th).

Clermont Northeastern's victory bumped their record up to 7-2-3. As for Williamsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Clermont Northeastern came out on top in a nail-biter against Williamsburg in their previous meeting on September 4th, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
