Volleyball Recap: Granger Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Granger, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Kearns Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

The win didn't come easy: Kearns scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-18.

Kj Faaome paced Granger's offense, picking up ten kills. Faaome got some help from Ky Hoang and his 21 assists. Hoang was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Granger now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Kearns, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Coming up, Granger will take on Hunter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kearns, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Taylorsville at 6:00 p.m. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
