Softball Recap: Southridge Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Southridge took a 17-run loss the last time they faced off against Westview, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Skyhawks never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. For the Skyhawks, this counts as revenge for the 18-1 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Southridge's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-9. As for Westview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Southridge will venture away from home to take on Beaverton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Skyhawks are facing the Beavers at the right time seeing as the Beavers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Westview, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Mountainside at 5:00 p.m. The Mavericks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
