Basketball Game Preview: St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings vs. Indian Creek Eagles

The St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings will challenge the Indian Creek Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. John's Catholic Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Indian Creek will be coming in after a defeat.

St. John's Catholic Prep is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They walked away with a 47-37 victory over Gerstell Academy on Friday.

St. John's Catholic Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Bolduc, who posted 17 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Bolduc has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Shively, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Indian Creek came up short against John Carroll on Friday and fell 49-41.

St. John's Catholic Prep's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-13. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Indian Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

St. John's Catholic Prep skirted past Indian Creek 47-45 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Will St. John's Catholic Prep repeat their success, or does Indian Creek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
