Basketball Recap: Lawrence Tigers vs. Hartford Indians
The Lawrence Tigers won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a serious blow against Hartford, falling 75-42. Lawrence was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-18.
Lawrence lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ben McCaw, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. McCaw is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Noel Saldana was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Hartford, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence will face off against the Rats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hartford, they will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
