Basketball Game Preview: Mount Si Wildcats vs. Issaquah Eagles

Mount Si is 2-8 against Issaquah since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Mount Si Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Issaquah Eagles at 12:00 p.m. Mount Si is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Mount Si faced off against North Creek on Friday. Mount Si was the clear victor by a 67-47 margin over North Creek.

Meanwhile, Issaquah faced Lake Washington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Issaquah fell 56-47 to Lake Washington. The Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Mount Si pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points over those games. As for Issaquah, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Mount Si lost to Issaquah on the road by a decisive 41-27 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Mount Si avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
