Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the El Monte Lions. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for El Monte, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mountain View will face off against rival Rosemead at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, El Monte is set to challenge their familiar foe South El Monte at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
