Football Recap: McKinney Boyd Broncos vs. North Garland Raiders
McKinney Boyd took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 56-6 victory over the North Garland Raiders. The win was some much needed relief for the Broncos as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Nick Wesloski went supernova for McKinney Boyd, throwing for 252 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Kahari Jones helped Wesloski out on the ground, rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKinney Boyd will face off against Wylie East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKinney Boyd is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for North Garland, they are taking a road trip to take on Lake Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
