Jemison had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-36 win over the Billingsley Bears. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.

Jemison got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Trinity Bean out in front who posted 14 points and five steals. Bean is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Chloe Calloway, who earned 12 points and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Billingsley lost, don't look at Alana Jones. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 31 points and ten boards. That was a full 86.1% of the Bears' points, marking the third time in a row Jones has had more than a third of the team's points.

Jemison's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Billingsley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Jemison will host Thorsby at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Billingsley, they will head out to square off against Verbena at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
