Softball Recap: Wenatchee Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Wenatchee took on Eastmont on Friday. The Panthers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 18-16. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Adamarie Iniguez led a balanced group of hitters, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Lily Staat was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBI.

Wenatchee now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Eastmont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Wenatchee by a score of 20-11 later that day.
