Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wildwood). They took down the New Roads Jaguars 62-44 on Saturday. The Wolves pushed the score to 52-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jaguars cut but never quite recovered from.

Wildwood had a senior duo take command as Zane Bryant went 8 for 12 en route to 20 points and Ike Moore went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. Moore also put up three assists, which werehis first of the season. Jonah Spitz was another key player, putting up three points in addition to seven assists, six boards, and four steals.

Wildwood was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory (which was Wildwood's third in a row) raised their record to 6-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for New Roads, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wildwood will challenge Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. New Roads has already played their next contest (against Geffen Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
