Softball Recap: Murdock Comes Up Short

Murdock lost to Bromfield back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Blue Devils lost 12-2 to the Trojans. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lilyana Lee was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Breelyn Anderson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Murdock has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Bromfield, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-7.

Coming up, Murdock is taking a road trip to square off against Quabbin Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bromfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
