The home team had won the previous two meetings between Page and Independence, and Page kept the tradition alive. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Eagles last Tuesday, they had to take a 8-3 defeat.

Ashley Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Johnson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Adriana Callahan, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Page's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Independence, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-15.

As of now, neither Page nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
