Softball Recap: Babcock Gets the Win

Babcock's hitters rose to the challenge against a Patriots pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.24 runs allowed on Friday. The Trailblazers walked away with a 10-5 win over the Master's Academy Patriots.

The team relied heavily on Luciana Pinto, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Lexi Haley also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Babcock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.

Babcock now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Master's Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Babcock will take on Merritt Island Christian in a tournament on Saturday. The Trailblazers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Master's Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Southwest Florida Christian on the 10th.
