Baseball Recap: Lawrence Free State Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

Lawrence Free State entered their tilt with Gardner-Edgerton on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Trailblazers by a score of 4-1. This was payback for the Firebirds, who suffered a 1-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lawrence Free State's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Gardner-Edgerton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10-1 record this season.
