Volleyball Recap: Orestimba Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Orestimba had lost six straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 11-20 to make it seven. They lost 3-0 to the Escalon Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

As for Escalon, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 13-15. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0).

Escalon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Rangel, who had ten digs and three assists. That's the most assists Rangel has posted since back in September.

Orestimba and Escalon are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Orestimba is taking a road trip to square off against West Campus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Escalon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
