Basketball Recap: Trinity Academy Takes a Loss

Trinity Academy lost against Ravenscroft back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trinity Academy Tigers took a blow against the Ravenscroft Ravens, falling 67-33. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ravenscroft to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hannah Mason, who went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and seven boards. Those seven rebounds gave Mason a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ellie Cronin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards.

With the defeat, Trinity Academy broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-5. As for Ravenscroft, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Academy will face off against St. David's at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ravenscroft, they will square off against North Raleigh Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ravenscroft's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
