Soccer Game Preview: Liberty North vs. Lee's Summit North

The Liberty North Eagles will challenge the Lee's Summit North Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Liberty North is headed into Thursday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Lee's Summit. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Liberty North came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Lee's Summit are ranked 41st).

Meanwhile, Lee's Summit North had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 6-0 shutout.

Lee's Summit North's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Liberty North, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
