Basketball Recap: Bourbon County Has No Trouble Against Bluegrass United

There's no place like home for Bourbon County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down the Bluegrass United Bluehawks 83-67 on Thursday. That looming 83-67 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Colonels yet this season.

Despite the loss, Bluegrass United still got an impressive performance from Jeremiah Stiefel, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 25 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Stiefel's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Everett Pieratt, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

The win got Bourbon County back to even at 3-3. As for Bluegrass United, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Bourbon County will take on Montgomery County in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bluegrass United, they will head out to challenge Paris at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
