Recap: Freedom Patriots vs. University Cougars
The Freedom Patriots fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took down University 35-17 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Freedom also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Rintaro Pierre was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 59 receiving yards. Arturo Quintana was another key contributor, gaining 84 total yards and a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Freedom's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Matthew Murawsky and Vlad Zlati who racked up four sacks between them.
Freedom's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for University, their loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 2-8.
Freedom does not have any more games scheduled as of now. University also has no future games currently scheduled.
