Baseball Game Preview: Olympic Trojans vs. West Cabarrus Wolverines

The Olympic Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the West Cabarrus Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Olympic is looking for their season's first victory.

Olympic fell victim to Palisades and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pumas, falling 17-0.

Meanwhile, West Cabarrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to South Iredell.

Patrick French was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

West Cabarrus' loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Olympic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything went Olympic's way against West Cabarrus in their previous meeting back in May of 2021, as Olympic made off with a 17-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Olympic since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
