Desert Christian Academy had won five straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 10-0 to make it six. They claimed a resounding 48-6 victory over the Vasquez Mustangs. Considering the Conquerors have won nine contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mario Gallo produced another solid effort throwing for 229 yards and five TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushing for 32 yards and one score. Those 229 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Desert Christian Academy's leading receiver Nathdaniel Guerrero was Gallo's top target yet again, picking up 100 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 48 yards.

As for Vasquez, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2. Having soared to a lofty 64 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Vasquez still got an impressive performance from Zack Van Ornum, who rushed for 151 yards and one score on only 12 carries.

Desert Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 26-24 loss against Arroyo Valley on the 7th. As for Vasquez, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 27-20 defeat against Indian Springs on the 7th.
