Volleyball Recap: Cypress Creek's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Cypress Creek came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Innovation Bulls, falling 3-0. The loss put an end to the Bears' undefeated start to the season.

Cypress Creek was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Innovation to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Rivera, who had 15 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Rivera has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Leilani Conforme, who had five digs and four aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cypress Creek fell to 3-1. As for Innovation, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Cypress Creek will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on East River at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Innovation, they are taking a road trip to challenge Gateway at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
