Baseball Recap: Cumberland Dukes vs. Prince Edward County Eagles

Cumberland lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Prince Edward County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's contest. The Dukes put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 12-1 win on Tuesday. The Dukes not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 26, 2025 (when they won 18-5).

Bryson Robison made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Aydin Brodie was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Chase Wise was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Cumberland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Prince Edward County only managed four.
