Baseball Game Preview: Hillside Hornets vs. Northwood Chargers

Hillside is 0-4 against Northwood since May of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Hillside Hornets will face off against the Northwood Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Hillside's last matchup with Southeast Raleigh could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. Hillside came up short against Southeast Raleigh, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Hornets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Northwood didn't have quite enough to beat Southeast Alamance on Tuesday and fell 5-3. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hillside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Northwood, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Hillside suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Northwood when the teams last played back in April of 2019. Can Hillside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
