Volleyball Recap: Sky View Has No Trouble Against Bear River

Sky View won the last time they faced Bear River and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Sky View Bobcats were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Bear River Bears. The Bobcats not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-18, 25-15.

Sky View's offense was headlined by Carson McUne and Hayden Davis, who picked up eight kills apiece. Davis really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 20. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

The win made it two in a row for Sky View and bumps their season record up to 2-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to aces: they averaged an imposing 17 aces in those games compared to only 1.67 in the others. As for Bear River, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, Sky View will head out to face off against West Field at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sky View is facing West Field at the right time seeing as West Field is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bear River, they will welcome Mountain Crest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bear River will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Mountain Crest will have lost six straight heading into Thursday's game.
