Basketball Recap: Victoria West Comes Up Short

Victoria West lost against The Woodlands back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Victoria West Warriors fell 56-44 to The Woodlands Highlanders. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The Woodlands' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rachael Roberts led the charge by going 7 of 14 on her way to 17 points. That's the most points Roberts has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Caelyn Hoffman, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

Victoria West's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for The Woodlands, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Victoria West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-39 loss against Ball on the 28th. As for The Woodlands, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-34 win against Friendswood on the 28th.
