Creekview hadn't done well against Lone Star recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Creekview Mustangs walked away with an 8-5 win over the Lone Star Rangers. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Rangers last Wednesday, they had to take a 6-1 loss.

Creekview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Paez, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Paez a new career-high.

Creekview's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Lone Star, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Creekview will head out to challenge Turner at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lone Star, they are taking a road trip to take on Hebron at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hebron's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Lone Star's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
