Great Valley's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 7-6 photo finish over the Academy Park Knights. The seven-point effort marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Ty Callahan threw for 43 yards on four of nine attempts. Brodie Camp was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards. On the ground, Beau Kosmalski rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown.

With the win, Great Valley broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for Academy Park, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-3.

Great Valley and Academy Park could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Patriots will square off against Downingtown West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (295 vs. 24). Meanwhile, Academy Park (ranked 243rd) will meet Chester (ranked 31st) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
