Soccer Game Preview: Lake Forest Academy vs. Waukegan

The Lake Forest Academy Caxys will head out to face off against the Waukegan Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Lake Forest Academy proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over North Shore Country Day.

Kayleigh Dunford was the driving force of Lake Forest Academy's attack as she scored both of Lake Forest Academy's goals, bringing her season total up to six goals.

Meanwhile, Waukegan has been on a difficult stretch since their win on April 26. Neither they nor Mundelein could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The win was a breath of fresh air for Waukegan as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lake Forest Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. With that draw, Waukegan's record moves to 7-11-3.
