Volleyball Recap: Marion Harding Comes Up Short

Marion Harding lost against Clear Fork back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Presidents fell just short of the Colts by a score of 3-2. The Presidents' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Marion Harding actually scored more points across those five sets (99-92), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 26-24, 14-25, 25-16, 12-25, 15-9.

Ellie Schneider paced Marion Harding's offense, picking up 17 kills. Schneider got some help from Brooklynn Johnson and her 26 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Marion Harding's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Clear Fork, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine matches and leaves them with a 4-12 record.

Marion Harding has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Ontario on the 25th. As for Clear Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Shelby on the 25th.
