Basketball Game Preview: Skipstone Academy Warriors vs. Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS

The Skipstone Academy Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skipstone Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Skipstone Academy turned things around against Lafayette Christian on Monday. They strolled past the Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 66-47. The Warriors pushed the score to 53-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.

Scooter Barkley was his usual excellent self, putting up 35 points. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Skipstone Academy's points. Ayden Brumbalow was another key player, earning 11 points.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin played against Lafayette Christian and won via forfeit.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Skipstone Academy, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Skipstone Academy suffered a grim 68-44 defeat to Trinity Christian School of Griffin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Skipstone Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
