Softball Recap: Escanaba Comes Up Short

Escanaba fell victim to Negaunee and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Miners by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eskymos have suffered since June 12, 2025.

Escanaba's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6-1. As for Negaunee, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Escanaba does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Negaunee, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Kingsford on the 29th.
