Volleyball Recap: Sioux Valley Comes Up Short

Sioux Valley and Hamlin squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Sioux Valley had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Chargers. The defeat continues a trend for the Cossacks in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost five in a row.

While Sioux Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 25-10.

Jayci Trowbridge went supernova For Hamlin., getting 20 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Trowbridge has posted since back in October of 2024.

Sioux Valley's loss dropped their record down to 19-13. As for Hamlin, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Sioux Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hamlin, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against West Central on the 11th.
