Baseball Recap: Dirigo Cougars vs. Mount Abram Roadrunners
Dirigo dropped their record down to 4-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Mount Abram Roadrunners, falling 9-2. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Roadrunners from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Dirigo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Crosby, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Crosby is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
As for Mount Abram, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The result was nothing new for the Roadrunners, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
On Mount Abram's side, Bryce Wilcox made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dirigo will head out to take on Nokomis at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mount Abram, they will venture away from home to challenge Hall-Dale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
