Softball Recap: Bogue Chitto Takes a Loss

If Bogue Chitto was riding high fresh off their 13-7 takedown of West Lincoln last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bogue Chitto Bobcats fell 15-10 to the West Lincoln Bears on Thursday. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 13-7.

Kylee Reynolds was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Joy Leggett was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one triple and one run.

Bogue Chitto's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10. As for West Lincoln, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bogue Chitto will take on Loyd Star at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Lincoln, they will face off against Pisgah at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pisgah will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something West Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight.
