Basketball Game Preview: Shadow Ridge Mustangs vs. Legacy Longhorns

Shadow Ridge hasn't had much luck against Legacy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Shadow Ridge Mustangs will head out to take on the Legacy Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Shadow Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Western, taking the game 73-64.

Meanwhile, Legacy came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past the Cowboys with a 61-57 win.

Legacy has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Shadow Ridge, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.

Shadow Ridge suffered a grim 74-51 defeat to Legacy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Shadow Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
