Baseball Recap: Skyview Drops Season-High Score on Columbia

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Skyview). They blew past the Columbia Wildcats 20-4 on Tuesday. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Skyview got a massive performance out of Mason Krahn, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with six RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. What's more, Krahn posted three hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevan Plew, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Skyview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Skyview has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Columbia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
