Softball Preview: Skyline Hawks vs. Handley Judges
Skyline has gone a perfect 8-0 against Handley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Hawks will look to defend their home field against the Judges at 6:00 p.m. Skyline will be strutting in after a victory while Handley will be coming in after a defeat.
Skyline is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Meridian on Monday as they made off with a 12-4 win. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 16, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Skyline got a great performance from Mackenzie McIntyre as she pitched five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. McIntyre has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kyleigh Williams was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Alice Benson, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Skyline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Meridian only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Handley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Liberty, falling 13-1.
Handley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Skyline, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.
