Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Dallas). Everything went their way against the Van Alstyne Panthers on Friday as the Lake Dallas Falcons made off with an 82-56 victory. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Panthers are ranked 810th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lake Dallas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-13 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Van Alstyne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lake Dallas beat Van Alstyne by a score of 63-40 on Saturday.
