Basketball Game Preview: Oswego East Wolves vs. Providence Catholic Celtics

The Oswego East Wolves and the Providence Catholic Celtics will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Oswego East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Oswego East is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by an 84-60 margin over Plainfield South on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Providence Catholic beat Fenwick 49-36 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Celtics.

Providence Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Oswego East, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Oswego East took their win against Providence Catholic in their previous matchup back in November of 2015 by a conclusive 57-35. Does Oswego East have another victory up their sleeve, or will Providence Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
